When it comes to wine, the only thing that's sure is the color. So what you need to learn is how to ask the right questions.
If you're new to wine, a liquor store can be intimidating with its veritable United Nations of potables. So you might want to ask, "What countries make good wine?"
Once you've gotten a little more comfortable, you might decide to serve wine to guests. Then you'll probably want to know, "What kind of wine should I serve with dinner?"
Once you've gotten more comfortable, you might start to read wine reviews. Then you'll probably want to know, "Why do all wine critics talk like that?"
Of course, now that you've been drinking wine for a while, you'll begin to wonder if wine's just a frivolous luxury. Perhaps you'd like to know, "What can wine do to make my life better and longer?"
